POTTERY FOR BEGINNERS:
MAKE A BOWL IN ONE EASY LESSON!

RICHARD BUSCH, GLENFIDDICH FARM POTTERY

Ever thought you'd like to try pottery--make things like ice-cream bowls--but aren't ready to commit the time and money to a class that locks you in for months? A one-hour trial run can help you decide if pottery is something you want to pursue in depth later on.

For just $30 I'll give you a tour of my pottery--studio, kilns, etc.--and a hands-on lesson in throwing a pot on the wheel.  I'll demonstrate how to make a bowl, then guide your hands on the clay as the wheel spins.  Success is guaranteed. I'll glaze and fire the bowl for you to pick up later, and soon you'll be enjoying your favorite ice cream in your favorite bowl.

Open to adults and kids 8 years old and up. Price includes the cost of clay, glaze, and firing. You can arrange special group sessions for a maximum of eight -- kids or adults.

If you are a weekend visitor to Loudoun County, I can mail the bowls to you after they gave been glazed and fired.

I am a Coolery Gallery/Leesburg resident artist with over 25 years of experience making pottery.
